What I write and Why I’m Writing

My reviews, as apposed to others, have a heavy focus on the narrative techniques and structure of a game and how well they are implemented. I provide an In-Depth examination of a story that focuses on both the main game and side stories and how often they work together to make a games story better and tell unique stories.

Occasionally I will also touch on the visuals, gameplay and gameplay designs that are implemented if i determine that they are crucial to a game’s story presentation. I will also touch on how certain techniques have improved or degraded throughout a series the longer they go on.

For every game I select you will always find a review and then a detailed analysis showing the vast amount of smart storytelling there is in a game and how it can complement the overall narrative.

I’m writing these reviews because I love video games, perhaps more importantly, I love the stories they tell, warts and all. loving a game means being able to accept that a game can’t always be stellar but also appreciate a game’s story for what it is and the message it’s trying to tell. I want to start a conversation with people who have different ideas and opinions about these stories and how they see them compared to how I do.

These reviews are not meant to offend but simply to show how I feel about these stories with all the good and the bad that comes with them.

Please enjoy and let me know what you think!

About Me

What to say about me? that I love games is obvious considering that I have a blog about it but it’s more than that. We all love video games. Ever since they were made, we as gamers have loved being able to Experience the adventures that they can take us on. Whether it’s exploring the Italian Renaissance with Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio or uncover the dark secrets with Life Is Strange’s Max Caulfield.

When I first started playing games, it was the original Star Wars: Battlefront II and I loved the amazing story it offered and how it kept me engaged. Playing Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is what made me want to study making games and when I was doing that, I Realized I wanted to write them. Before I could write my own stories, i needed to understand how other’s wrote their stories and how a game was made to Accommodate the story or vice versa.

This blog is dedicated to me examining the narrative techniques that writers use and also submitting my own stories. Please enjoy and feel free to let me know what you think!
